tilkbook + Zoom integration
When a client books a virtual appointment on tilkbook, a Zoom meeting is created automatically. The join link goes out in the confirmation email and SMS — no manual back-and-forth.
What does the Zoom integration do?
- New tilkbook virtual booking creates a Zoom meeting
- Join link is included in the booking confirmation email and SMS
- Cancellation in tilkbook deletes the Zoom meeting
- Reschedule updates the Zoom meeting time
How do I connect tilkbook to Zoom?
-
Open Integrations in tilkbook
In your tilkbook dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations and click Zoom.
-
Sign in with your Zoom account
Authorise tilkbook to create meetings on your behalf. The OAuth scope is limited to meeting creation; tilkbook never reads meeting content.
-
Mark which services are virtual
In each service's settings, toggle "Virtual meeting" to ON. Only virtual services trigger Zoom meeting creation; in-person services do not.
Stub. Writers add screenshots for each setup step. Useful examples to expand: therapy + Zoom, online tutoring + Zoom, remote consultations.
Frequently asked questions
-
Is the Zoom integration free?
- Yes — included on every tilkbook plan including the free tier. You need your own Zoom account (free or paid).
-
Can I use my Zoom Personal Meeting ID instead of creating new meetings?
- Yes. In Settings → Integrations → Zoom, toggle "Use Personal Meeting ID" to ON. This is useful for solo practitioners who prefer a single recurring meeting room.
-
What happens to the Zoom meeting if the client cancels?
- The Zoom meeting is deleted automatically when the booking is cancelled in tilkbook. If the client cancels close to the meeting time, the meeting deletion still happens — you don't need to clean up manually.
-
Does tilkbook support Zoom waiting rooms?
- Yes. Waiting-room settings are controlled by your Zoom account defaults. If your Zoom account has waiting rooms enabled, meetings created by tilkbook inherit that setting.
